Sex Magic - FTW?!

As a supportive supplement to last month’s article on The Law of Attraction, this month I’m sharing the basics of Sex Magic.

Sex is an act of creation and sexual energy is one of many potent natural forces that can be harnessed to induce an altered state. You might’ve experienced this yourself already in the bedroom as a state of ecstasy, bliss, or euphoria, especially during or after sexual climax.

Author, researcher, and lecturer, Dr. Joe DIspenza, says that when you combine your intention with an “elevated” (heart-centered) emotion, you create a powerful alignment between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and this alignment sends a clear and potent signal to the universe, drawing your desired outcome closer to you. Abraham Hicks, another resource on The Law of Attraction, talks about how “better getting thoughts” are essential to receiving.

When properly channeled, the high vibrational frequencies of sexual energy are another way to amplify your intentions and accelerate the receiving process. 

WHAT IS SEX MAGIC?
Sex Magic is the conscious, vibrational seeding of a desire. The simplest form of sex magic is to visualize your desire as you engage in prolonged foreplay and build erotic momentum, then, at the moment of climax, release the intention to the universe.

Whether this prolonged and heightened state is reached with solo play or with others, sex magic can be a potent tool of manifestation.

Toys
Sex toys are like amulets that can be charged up as well, to amplify your intention and to fuel you with energy even after a sex magic ritual is complete. Dildos made of semi-precious gemstones have their own special energetic properties (vibrational frequencies) that can be incorporated into ritual as well. If you decide to use one, be sure to do your research. For example, quartz, rose quartz, and amethyst are naturally nonporous, meaning they won’t harbor bacteria, and are easy to sanitize.

Body Fluids
Sexual fluids like menstrual blood and semen also carry potent vibrations.

THE PRINCIPLES OF SEX MAGIC
Sex magic is based on several fundamental principles:

The Law of Attraction: The Law of Attraction is the idea that “like attracts like.” In the context of sex magic, your intention, combined with high frequency sexual energy, creates a powerful vibration that resonates with your desired outcome, drawing it closer to you faster.

Energy and Intention: Everything in the universe is made up of energy, and our thoughts and intentions have the power to influence this energy. In sex magic, sexual energy is harnessed and directed towards a specific intention or desire.

Symbolism and Ritual: Rituals are a crucial part of sex magic because ritual carries inherent intention, focus, and reverence. Sex magic rituals can also involve symbols, words, and specific ritualistic acts that help focus your intention and your erotic energy.

Altered States of Consciousness: Sex magic involves altered states of consciousness, which can be achieved through prolonged arousal, orgasm, or other intense sensual and sexual experiences. These high vibrational altered states heighten the energetic potential of the ritual.

It's important to remember that sex magic is a personal and spiritual practice, and results may not be immediate or guaranteed. The key is to trust in the process and remain excited and open to receiving your desires.

A BASIC SEX MAGIC RITUAL
Sex magic should always be consensual, safe, and honoring of each person involved. Anyone participating should be a knowingly-willing participant with a clear vision of what the intention is, and any necessary boundaries around touch and interaction should be established beforehand.

NOTE: If you want to include more people into this ritual, you can invite them to join you over video chat, or even to just to hold your intention with you at the day/time you have set for your sex magic ritual.

Set Your Intention: Start by clearly defining your intention. What do you want to manifest or attract in your life?

Though not absolutely necessary, taking your intention or desire “from thought into form” can be a powerful part of the manifestation process, so feel free to journal, draw, or choose an object to represent your intention. Be as specific as possible.

If you plan to use any sex toys for your ritual, wash and sanitize them, and charge them by setting them outside under the moonlight the night before.

Prepare Your Space: Choose a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted. If it feels good, adorn the space with the five elements. This can be done ahead or set up just before the start of the ritual. Here is some inspiration:

-Earth: soil, plants/herbs, rocks/crystals, dancing
-Air: feather, bells or music, smoke, breathwork
-Fire: fire pit or fireplace, candles, incense
-Water: water, tea, essential oils, seashells, glass, anything colored blue
-Ether: burning herbs, meditation, mandala, invoking a god/dess

Including any objects or symbols you’ve chosen to represent your intention. For more advanced ritual, symbols, sigils, and runes can be created. Drawing on each others’ bodies with body paint can feel both playful and sexy.

Purification and Support: Use sage or palo santo to ground and purify both the space and the bodies that will be using it. Purify any tools or sacred objects as well.

As you do this, call in only the “highest and best” energies to support you.

Stillness and Connection: Use whatever centering practice or meditation you prefer, to ground yourself (mind/body/spirit coherence), and to connect with anyone participating with you. Eye-gazing and mirroring each others’ breathing can be powerfully connective.

Everyone participating should start visualizing your intention and should imagine you not only receiving your desire, but the joy (or other feeling-state) you hope to achieve by receiving it. Everyone should see you joyfully celebrating or basking in the feeling-state of that desire. Ideally, you want to create a sense of seeing the same “movie” in everyone’s minds.

Building Arousal and Edging: Engage in foreplay or any agreed-upon erotic or sexual play, maintaining a relaxed focus on the “movie” you’ve created as you play. Remember, the goal is not specifically pleasure, but spiritual power. It’s about building and then controlling/directing that energy build. Consider how to incorporate touch for the whole body rather than focusing only on the genitals. The key is to build up sexual energy gradually. Drawing out the experience and allowing your sexual energy to build gradually enhances your magical power.

The more intensely you build the energy, the faster you can attract what you desire, and each time you reach this near-orgasmic state your magnetic power is at its highest. You don’t have to focus on your vision all the time but remain aware of it and as you raise the energy and cycle it through your body.

This segment might last anywhere from minutes to hours. There’s no wrong answer, so let your intuition guide you.

Nearing Climax: As you feel ready to release your intention and when you (and anyone joining you) are nearing climax, everyone holds the vision of your intention solidly once more in their minds.

As you surrender to climax, channel all of the pleasure and energy into the “movie.”

NOTE: This can be even more powerful if everyone involved achieves orgasm at the same moment. Obviously, this can be a challenge to coordinate, depending on the *ahem* capabilities of the people participating, but I wanted to make sure to mention it as you envision curating your own experience.

Release: As the peak of orgasm, release the stirred up energy and the intention. Imagine the energy signature you’ve built and created in that moment radiating out into the universe.

Grounding and Integration Time: Post-release, take some time to re-ground or re-center. Be sure to express gratitude to yourself and anyone who supported the experience, physically or otherwise.

Sex magic is a profound practice that combines the power of sexual energy, intention, symbolism, and the Law of Attraction to manifest your desires. It's a deeply personal and spiritual practice that should be approached with respect, consent, and a clear understanding of your intentions. By harnessing the high-frequency vibration of bliss and ecstasy, you can accelerate the manifestation process and draw your desires closer to you.
